Dr. Shiyam Satwani is a board-certified interventional cardiologist dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence-based care to patients with heart and vascular conditions. With more than 15 years of experience, Dr. Satwani has advanced training in interventional cardiology, endovascular interventions and peripheral vascular disease. He has also received advanced training and has extensive experience in echocardiography and other types of non-invasive cardiac imaging. He is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology and endovascular interventions. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI).
Dr. Satwani earned his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, graduating first in his class and receiving multiple honors and gold medals for academic excellence. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, where he was recognized as the best clinician of the class of 2004. He continued his training with a fellowship in cardiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he served as chief cardiology fellow and was twice named fellow of the year for his commitment to scholarship. He then completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at the Krannert Institute of Cardiology at Indiana University in Indianapolis.
Throughout his career, Dr. Satwani has performed thousands of percutaneous coronary interventions, diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and advanced imaging procedures. Dr. Satwani is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and the American Medical Association. He is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care, working closely with each patient to develop personalized treatment plans and advance the field of cardiology through ongoing education, research and a focus on the latest evidence-based practices.
