Dr. Banga is an interventional cardiologist renowned for his expertise in coronary angiography and angioplasty, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), Watchman device placement, patent foramen ovale (PFO) closures, pacemaker implantation, loop recorder implantation and heart failure management. His comprehensive training and certification in general cardiology and cardiac imaging—including echocardiography, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac MRI—position him as a leading provider of advanced cardiovascular care.

Dr. Banga began his medical career in India, where he completed his education at Maulana Azad Medical College and Lady Hardinge Medical College in New Delhi. He did his internal medicine residency from University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He did fellowship in general cardiology at Michigan State University at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. He subsequently pursued advanced training through fellowships in cardiovascular imaging at West Virginia University, electrophysiology at Sparrow Hospital, and interventional cardiology at Michigan State University. He also served as chief cardiology fellow from 2023 to 2024 during his general cardiology training. He is board-certified in internal medicine and general cardiology and holds specialty certifications across multiple cardiac imaging modalities. Throughout his career, Dr. Banga has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to community service and patient education. In India, he frequently organized free medical camps in underserved communities. Now practicing in the United States, he continues to emphasize public education through seminars and digital podcasts focused on cardiovascular health.
