Robert W. Deaton, RN, MSN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in nursing and advanced practice care. He is known for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and dedication to helping individuals achieve their best health.

Deaton’s care philosophy centers on respect, empathy and open communication. He believes strong relationships and honest conversations are the foundation of effective health care. Deaton earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Graceland University in Independence, Missouri, and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Illinois. He is accredited and board certified as an advanced practice registered nurse and is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

A native of Du Quoin, Illinois, Deaton’s career began as a certified nursing assistant and advanced through roles as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse and nurse practitioner. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in a variety of clinical settings, including orthopedic and neurosurgical care, home health, intensive care and primary care. His work has included serving patients in hospitals, clinics and home environments, allowing him to develop a broad and adaptable skill set. Deaton’s diverse background gives him a deep understanding of the unique needs of patients at every stage of life, from acute care to long-term health management.
