Regina Y. Chiu, MD, is a dedicated cardiologist who has made significant contributions to the field of cardiovascular medicine. Originally from Illinois, Dr. Chiu has returned to her roots to provide exceptional medical care to her community. She currently serves as the nuclear lab director at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois, where she oversees lab operations and ensures the highest standards of safety and accreditation. She has held various leadership roles, including echocardiography lab director and attending cardiologist.
Throughout her career, Dr. Chiu has been dedicated to both patient care and academic excellence. Her extensive postdoctoral training includes fellowships in nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular medicine at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Her research endeavors have focused on advanced imaging techniques and the evaluation of cardiovascular diseases. Her findings have been presented at numerous prestigious conferences, including the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography, and published in several peer-reviewed journals.
