About The Provider
“I believe in preventative actions. I prefer exhausting medical therapy and lifestyle changes before reviewing surgical options. I care for my patients like I would my family.”
Cardiologist Dr. Ali Khan was drawn to cardiology because of the depth of experience required with the wide range of health care it crosses – treating emergent arrythmias in the emergency department to implanting pacemakers or performing angiography in surgery, to interpreting multi-modality images to seeing patients in an outpatient clinic. He has special interests in cardiac arrythmias, pacemakers, defibrillators, and imaging tests such as cardiac computed tomography angiography (CTA). He knows cardiac disorders can cause patients a great deal of anxiety and finds it very rewarding when he puts his patients at ease by helping them understand their disease and treatment options.
Personally, Dr. Khan enjoys listening to music and staying active, including riding his bike and hiking in Southern Illinois with his dog who completely owns him. He also loves baking, growing vegetables, raising chickens and landscape photography.
