Muhammad Adil Sheikh, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with expertise in treating complex coronary artery disease and structural heart conditions. He performs advanced procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, Watchman implantation, patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure and chronic total occlusion (CTO) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). He also manages atrial fibrillation, heart failure and other high-risk cardiac conditions using the latest interventional techniques and evidence-based care. His approach combines technical precision with a deep commitment to patient outcomes and long-term heart health.

Dr. Sheikh earned his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, where he was recognized for his leadership and dedication to academic medicine. He then pursued a cardiovascular disease fellowship at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois, serving as chief fellow in his final year, followed by an interventional cardiology and structural heart disease fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, one of the nation’s leading centers for cardiac innovation and care.

With a strong commitment to research, Dr. Sheikh has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and abstracts and has presented at leading national and international conferences. His research has helped shape clinical best practices in interventional and structural cardiology. He continues to engage in scholarly work, contributing to the advancement of care strategies for complex cardiac patients.

He is also passionate about community engagement and education. He mentors students, volunteers in health initiatives and focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with his patients. Dr. Sheikh believes in guiding patients and their families through every step of their care journey with compassion, clarity and respect, ensuring they feel informed and empowered in their treatment.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Sheikh enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their three daughters. He stays active through exercise and loves exploring the outdoors with his family, often combining his passion for nature with time spent teaching his children about health and wellness.
