About The Provider

John Scally, MD, MHS, is a board-certified cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine. He is dedicated to patient-centered care, clinical excellence and advancing research in heart health. Dr. Scally earned his medical degree from George Washington University and completed his residency and fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center both in Washington, D.C. While at Walter Reed he specialized in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He also holds a Master of Health Sciences in microbiology and molecular immunology from Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, and a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University in Baltimore.

Throughout his career, Dr. Scally has served in a variety of roles, including as a cardiologist and medical director of an echocardiography laboratory. He has held appointments at Darnall Army Medical Center at Ft. Hood, Texas and served as a theater cardiology consultant for the 47th Combat Support Hospital in Tikrit, Iraq. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine and holds an active Illinois medical license. Dr. Scally is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Society of Echocardiography.

He has contributed to research published in respected medical journals, with topics including cardiovascular health in HIV-positive patients, management of myocardial infarction, and the impact of exercise and diet on heart disease. Dr. Scally is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. He believes in empowering patients to take an active role in their heart health and strives to deliver the highest standard of cardiovascular care.
