Dr. Jeetendra “Jay” Patel is a distinguished interventional cardiologist with expertise in complex coronary and peripheral interventions. He previously served as an Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Interventional Cardiology at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen School of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn.
Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College in India before completing his residency at Monmouth Medical Center in New Jersey. He pursued a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic and later completed a General and Interventional Cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Patel has held leadership roles at prestigious institutions, including the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, Ga. and Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, Ind. He has also served as an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Director at Indiana University School of Medicine, mentoring future cardiologists.
Dr. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and Nuclear Cardiology. A prolific researcher, he has published extensively in leading medical journals and presented at national and international cardiology conferences. He remains dedicated to advancing interventional techniques, improving patient outcomes, and training the next generation of cardiologists.
