George E. Eigbire, MD, is an interventional cardiologist who provides comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on preventive and proactive care to reduce complications and adverse effects in patients with heart and vascular conditions. His work includes diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease and vascular conditions, managing chronic disease, and performing advanced, minimally invasive catheter-based procedures when appropriate. Dr. Eigbire earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Debrecen Medical School and Health Science Center in Debrecen, Hungary. He completed an internal medicine residency at Rochester Regional Health/Unity Hospital in Rochester, New York. He then completed a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, followed by interventional cardiology training at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Afterward, he spent time in Mississippi deepening his knowledge of managing peripheral arterial disease.
