Emma Dawson, PA, brings several years of experience in health care and community outreach to surrounding rural communities. A native to the area, Dawson is grateful to care for her neighbors and give back to the community that shaped her. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, where she was actively involved in health education and outreach programs. Dawson completed her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Carbondale, Illinois, gaining hands-on experience in community clinics and local events focused on increasing access to care.

Dawson’s patient care philosophy centers on respect, empathy and clear communication. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard, understood and supported, no matter the concern. Dawson takes time to listen, answer questions in plain language and ensure patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. She is dedicated to building strong, trusting relationships by creating a welcoming environment where patients feel at ease sharing their concerns and goals. Dawson values open dialogue and encourages patients to take an active role in their health. By getting to know each patient as an individual, she tailors care to meet their unique needs and helps them feel empowered in their health journey.

She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and the Illinois Academy of Physician Assistants. Outside of work, Dawson enjoys traveling, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, and spending time with family and friends.
