Emily Konrad, APRN, is a family nurse practitioner providing compassionate, patient-centered care to patients of all ages. With experience in primary care, chronic disease management and hospital-based nursing, she is committed to supporting the long-term health and well-being of her patients through education, empathy and evidence-based treatment.

Konrad earned her master of science in nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois and her bachelor of science in nursing from Lakeview College of Nursing in Charleston, Illinois. She completed her nurse practitioner training through clinical rotations with HSHS Medical Group Family Medicine and Jackson Health in Effingham, gaining extensive experience in preventive care, acute illness management and individualized treatment planning.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Konrad served as a registered nurse in the medical-surgical unit at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital. Her bedside experience significantly influenced her collaborative and empathetic approach to patient care.

Konrad chose to specialize in urology for its balance of medical management and procedural care. She appreciates the variety of conditions treated in this field and enjoys caring for male and female patients across their lifespans. Her clinical interests include managing conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia and overactive bladder using pharmacological treatments as well as procedures such as catheterization and cystoscopy.

Outside her clinical practice, Konrad enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She likes to play golf, read and go camping.
