Throughout her career, Lawler has cared for patients across the spectrum of cardiac conditions, from those recovering after heart surgery to individuals managing chronic heart failure, arrhythmias and hypertension. She is highly skilled in acute and critical care, including the management of advanced cardiac devices such as left ventricular assist devices, intra-aortic balloon pumps and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. Her expertise extends to interpreting complex diagnostic tests, developing individualized care plans and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, high-quality care. Lawler is passionate about patient education, providing thorough preoperative and discharge teaching to help patients feel confident and prepared at every stage of their treatment.
Lawler holds a master of science in nursing from Loyola University Chicago in Chicago and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
