Dr. Eduardo Vaca is a board certified general surgeon (ABS), specializing in minimally invasive and robotic procedures. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality care to every patient, with a focus on clear communication and individualized treatment. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Vaca is committed to serving diverse communities and ensuring that each patient feels heard and supported throughout their care journey.

Dr. Vaca earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, where he was recognized for academic excellence and leadership. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served as chief resident. During his general surgery residency, he earned multiple awards for his clinical skill, technical ability, and commitment to patient care. He then pursued an advanced fellowship in gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery at Henry Ford St. John Hospital in Detroit, further expanding his expertise in laparoscopic and robotic techniques.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Vaca is actively involved in research and education. He has presented at national conferences and published in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Vaca’s research interests include improving surgical outcomes for his patients and advancing techniques in general surgery.

Dr. Vaca believes in building strong relationships with his patients and working collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes. He is certified advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and advanced trauma life support (ATLS). Outside of the operating room, Dr. Vaca enjoys mentoring future healthcare professionals and contributing to community health initiatives. He remains committed to lifelong learning and to advancing the field of surgery through research, education and compassionate patient care.
