Christine Walthes, APRN, is an advanced practice registered nurse with extensive experience in pediatric and adult cardiology care. She holds a Master of Science in nursing and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Chamberlain University in Addison, Illinois, and is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANPCB). 

With more than a decade in nursing, Walthes has cared for critically ill children, managed complex cardiac and renal cases, and provided primary care to patients of all ages. She is skilled in advanced therapies, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and continuous renal replacement therapy, and is recognized for her ability to multitask and prioritize in high-pressure clinical environments. Her achievements include nominations for the Daisy Award, Community Service Nurse of the Year and the Ambassador Choice Award for nursing excellence. She was selected to participate in a World Pediatric Project cardiac surgery mission trip to Honduras and has served as a clinical coach and mentor to new nurses.

Walthes’ patient care philosophy centers on treating each person as a unique individual, deserving of compassion, respect and attentive listening. She believes that building trust and open communication are essential to effective care. Walthes educates and empowers patients and families, supports shared decision-making and fosters a welcoming environment for active participation in care. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is committed to lifelong learning.
