Carl “Tracy” Painter, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon who provides comprehensive musculoskeletal care, including nonoperative and operative treatment of sports injuries, fractures and arthritis. His services include hip, knee and shoulder replacement, as well as care for ligament injuries, joint instability and common nerve conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Dr. Painter focuses on helping patients restore function, reduce pain and return to the activities that matter most in their daily lives.

Dr. Painter earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, Kansas, and a Bachelor of science (BS) in secondary education from Calvary Bible College, Kansas City, Missouri. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency and internship at Southern Illinois University, Springfield, Illinois. Dr. Painter is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, reflecting more than two decades of experience in orthopedic care.
