Amit S. Dande, MD, is an interventional cardiologist who specializes in cardiovascular disease, vascular medicine and endovascular interventions. He is board-certified in internal medicine, interventional cardiology and echocardiography and holds certifications in cardiac device management and nuclear cardiology.

With more than 10 years of experience, Dr. Dande has performed thousands of procedures, including complex coronary interventions, peripheral vascular treatments, pacemaker placements and venous therapies. His expertise spans from minimally invasive endovascular procedures to advanced aortoiliac and femoropopliteal disease treatments as the medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory and STAT Heart Program at Prairie Cardiovascular in Decatur, Illinois. He plays a key role in expanding cardiovascular services and improving patient outcomes. 

Committed to advancing patient care through research and education, Dr. Dande has presented at national and international medical conferences and authored multiple publications on cardiovascular disease. His contributions to rural cardiology have helped improve access to high-quality care, earning his hospital recognition from the Women’s Choice Award and Leapfrog Group’s Top Rural Hospital designation. He is an active member of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Vascular Medicine member. 

Dr. Dande holds a Master of Science in cellular and molecular pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Madison, Wis. He has completed advanced fellowships and residencies in vascular medicine, endovascular intervention and interventional cardiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine at Danbury Hospital.
